Washington Veterinary Clinic has been offering veterinary services in the North Central Kansas region for over 60 years. It all started with Dr. Max Beam (a 1951 KSU CVM graduate) and currently employs 2 veterinarians, 1 veterinary technician, 2 veterinary assistants and several support staff. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Veterinary Associate with a good work ethic, drive for excellence and ability to communicate with our diverse clientele. We are looking for someone interested in working with both large and small animals. We offer a full service Veterinary Clinic that covers both large and small animals along with specialty services. Our clinic contacts have a very diverse and extensive agricultural background. Our practice is equipped with all the tools needed to offer high quality veterinary care including digital radiography, ultrasound, soft tissue surgery, in house chemistry. Herd health consults, vaccination schedules, and health management plans are some of the services offered at Washington Veterinary Clinic. We are happy to make farm visits or have a conference room at the clinic for client consultation. Washington Veterinary Clinic currently performs consulting and management for several cattle ranches, feedlots, dairies and hog operations around North Central Kansas and South Central Nebraska. Our clinic offers embryo transfer, embryo collection both conventional and InVitro, artificial insemination services (A.I.) for cattle, semen collection and evaluation along with bull breeding soundness examinations. We are set up to store frozen semen and embryos. The veterinarians also provide consultation on herd synchronization and will help design a breeding program to fit your operation. Our hospital is fully capable of taking care of most large animal needs. There is a hydraulic chute and pens in one area of the facility that we use for various types of cattle work. Our facility is designed for low stress handling with safety of the patient and person in mind. Our clinic is capable of in house semen testing of bulls as well as caesarean sections on cows. We also have a hydraulic tilt table for bovine hoof care and treatment of other injuries. The other part of our facility is dedicated to small animal preventative care and comfort.
