WHAT’S SPECIAL ABOUT LIVING AND WORKING IN LAKE ELSINORE?
AFFORDABLE HOUSING: Compared to cities like San Diego, Temecula and Riverside, the cost of buying a home in Lake Elsinore is significantly lower; making it an appealing option for first-time homebuyers, and young families looking to stretch their budget. The lower cost of housing also means you can get more for your money, whether that’s a larger house, a bigger yard, or proximity to the lake.
OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES: If you enjoy the outdoors, you can spend your time hiking or mountain biking in the beautiful mountains that surround the city. If you're looking for something more adrenaline-inducing, then Skydive Elsinore is a must-visit place.
PARKS AND RECREATION: Lake Elsinore is the largest freshwater lake in Southern California, and it is the perfect spot for fishing, boating, and water sports. For a quiet afternoon, you can visit the Ortega Falls Trailhead, which offers a serene setting with a stunning waterfall. McVicker Canyon Park is another popular spot that provides hiking trails and picnic areas.
EVENTS AND FESTIVALS: The Lake Elsinore Diamond or “Storm Stadium” is home to the Minor League Baseball team the Lake Elsinore Storm. When baseball is not in season the stadium hosts various events such as fireworks shows, movie nights, concerts, and its very popular Halloween event, “Field of Screams”. The Diamond 10K is a charity run that takes place at the Lake Elsinore Diamond, and the proceeds go towards local charities.
CLOSE TO SKIING AND BEACHES: Only 90 miles away, Big Bear (popular with snowboarders and skiers alike) and Snow Summit (family friendly skiing) are very popular snow skiing destinations in Southern California. If the ocean is calling you, San Clemente Beach is only 40 miles away, or if you want to head over to Surf City, USA in Huntington Beach it's only a 60-mile drive.
