Sparta Animal Clinic has been a trusted provider of veterinary care in Western Michigan since 1947. While the clinic has provided the highest level of care for over 75 years, the facility is fully renovated with advanced technology. The clinic offers in-house labs, digital radiographs and ultrasound. At Sparta Animal Clinic we pride ourselves on a client centered approach.
Sparta is not only the home of our clinic, but a beautiful town located just 10 minutes north of Grand Rapids Michigan. The town has a lot to offer including beautiful countryside, established apple, peach, cherry and blueberry orchards, top of the line schools, restaurants, wineries and breweries. Plus, a historic small town within a strong family-oriented community.
Who are we?
We are currently a 7-doctor practice focusing on small animal general practitioner care, large animal farm calls and emergency, and with our recent expansion, specialty surgery. In early 2024 we added a second facility, Great Lakes Veterinary Surgical Center located on West River Drive in Grand Rapids where we emphasize orthopedic surgeries. This recent addition, coupled with the dedicated client base at the Sparta facility, we have experienced record growth and are seeking an aspiring small animal veterinarian to join our team.

- Flexible Work Schedule: Enjoy four 10-hour shifts per week, with a consistent day off, and a rotating Saturday schedule (once every 5-6 weeks, 8am - 1pm). No on-call duties.
