Amherst Veterinary Hospital is a progressive independently owned practice serving dogs and cats in Central Wisconsin. We have a dedicated and experienced staff with a high retention rate and excellent doctor: staff ratios. We are looking for another full time or part time veterinarian to help us serve our continuously growing client base. Our doctors focus on quality compassionate care with no sales quotas or quarterly numbers to worry about. We utilize many tools to keep us state of the art including:
- Fully digital records
- Full in-house lab and AI analyzers
- Digital whole body and dental radiography and onsite AI analysis
- Surgical lasers and cold laser therapy
- High speed dental units
- Oncura ultrasound: our CVT's are trained in sonography using the Oncura system so your patients don’t need a referral to receive a specialist interpretation of images.

Requirements
Expected Responsibilities:
- Provide preventative care, general medical exams, initial urgent care, and end of life care for companion dogs and cats.
- Interpret diagnostic results.
- Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
- Maintain patients’ medical records.
- Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications:
- DVM or equivalent degree from a AVMA COE-accredited Veterinary Program.
- State Veterinary license in good standing.
- Willingness to develop diagnostic and surgical skills.
- Desire to provide compassionate care.
- Effective and efficient communication and interpersonal skills.
