Description
Prevent, Test and Control contagious animal diseases
Examine animals to determine nature of illness or injury
Provide technical expertise in health management including biosecurity, disease identification, prevention, control and treatment, regulatory and food safety requirements
Responsible for ensuring sanitary measures before, during and after all procedures
Perform Cesarean Sections in cattle along with providing Ultrasounds and/or palpation to check for pregnancy and fetal aging
Document for each specific animal treated
Provide General Wellness Exams and give vaccinations, draw blood, prescribe medication, and perform general surgery such as spay and neuter operations to companion animal clients
Actively participate in management meetings to ensure that regular and open communication takes place regarding the coordination and planning for current operations as well as strategy development.
Review lab results to ensure data is correct and sent via email or mail to customers in a timely fashion.
Requirements
Required to complete four year Doctoral Of Medicine Program
Required to obtain licensure to practice in State of Nebraska
