Description
Summary: Wildflower Veterinary Hospital is hiring an associate veterinarian at our 4-year-old practice in northeast metro Denver.
Who: Dr. McGuire (CSU '08) opened Wildflower in September 2021 after working as an associate in Colorado and Australia. Dr. Peterson (Rossie '21) joined her in July 2022, Dr. Mills (KSU '23) joined in September 2024, and Dr. Lettenberger (MWU '22) joined us in August 2025. 5 RVTs, 6 VA, 3 CSR, and a PM.
What: Full-time (4 days) or Part-time (3 days) small animal GP clinic that performs dentistry, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and preventative medicine in a recently built and just expanded facility. Mobile internal medicine is brought in for ultrasounds and scopes, mobile surgeon for orthopedics, and mobile dentist for root canals.
Where: Brighton, Colorado. 20 minutes northeast of downtown Denver. 15 minutes east of Thornton/Northglenn/Westminster. Over 4000 sq ft. 7 exam rooms, surgery suite, space for a dental suite, and an associates office that even has a window!
When: Opening hours are Monday to Friday 8am- 5pm. No weekends. No nights. Schedule is either 3 or 4 days 8am- 5pm.
Why: Vet med can be hard and challenging, but it can be fun too. We have the fun toys (including a Ligasure), we try to take care of them (daily sharpening of dental instruments!), and we try to take care of each other as well. We close at 5 and on weekends because life outside of work is important too. Lgbqtia+ friendly. Safe space training. We fire clients (one of the best parts of being not corporate).

What out staff says:
The area of Brighton is rapidly growing and has a very high demand for quality vet care, especially with its proximity to Denver and so many smaller surrounding towns.
If we hire an additional doctor we could have their schedule filled with our waitlist alone!
We are a private practice with a well equipped management team, including a Practice Manager, Office Manager, and a Lead Certified Veterinary Technician.
As someone who had many years of experience at a corporate animal hospital, I have loved the transition to Wildflower. It has allowed me to have a work life balance again, while feeling vastly more appreciated. All of our staff are treated with kindness and respect, and we have built an amazing team.
