Full-Time or Part-Time position in 24-hour ER hospital located in Allen Park, MI. Looking for experienced GP, ER, or internship-trained candidate (even the right new graduate) to work with an exceptional team of ER veterinarians and technicians. 

Minutes from Detroit - a vibrant city with an incredible music scene, culture, four major professional sports teams, theatre, bustling food scene etc. - we are a half-day drive to any of the Great Lakes, beaches, camping, and skiing.

Our Hospital

• 7,000 sq ft up-to-date facility with capacity of 32 cage/run ICU and outpatient holding.
• Updated cloud based EMR and CMR, electronic flow sheets for inpatients. Fiberoptic and a back up hotspot.
• Digital radiography (idexx), full suite of in-house lab equipment, outside lab relationship.
• Endoscope and New ultrasound- Logiq S8 by GE.
• Double Snyder unit oxygen chamber with central oxygen production for the hospital.
• Feline only ward with oxygen cage and video monitoring for hospitalized patients.
• Isolation ward with 2 large runs as well as smaller cages.
• Five dual entrance exam rooms (although at present we are curb-side) with fold up exam tables for more workspace. Comfort room for client visits and euthanasia. Building is hardwired for generator usage.
• Surgical case load is kept in house whenever appropriate. Lots of chances to do your own!
• Strong relationships with local specialty hospitals for patients needing referral.
• Compassionate, motivated, and skilled technician and assistant team.
• Excellent inventory management- we rarely have to “go without” due to oversight, backorders, or supply chain issues.
• Privately (veterinarian) owned. 

Work Environment

• Average just under three shifts a week (approximately 36 hrs) for FT and two shifts a week for  PT (approximately 24 hrs). Hours can be customized.
• 8 experienced FT/PT DVMs on staff to help transition to ER medicine if this is new!
• Job retention (DVM and staff) is extremely high with very little turnover.
• Day, swing, and night shift schedule rotation.
