Experienced Emergency Veterinarian – Grand Rapids & Byron Center, Michigan
Practice progressive emergency medicine in two new state-of-the-art hospitals.
The Opportunity
Join a talented emergency team that serves two hospitals:
- Animal Emergency & Specialty Hospital of Grand Rapids
- Animal Emergency & Specialty Hospital of Byron Center
This position provides variety, collaboration, and the chance to work alongside specialists as well as fellow ER clinicians.
- Doctors typically split time between the Grand Rapids and Byron Center hospitals, with schedules built for optimal work–life balance.
- Full-time ER veterinarians work 12-13 shifts per month, with flexible shift trading and generous opportunities to request time off.
- Our ER clinicians perform emergency surgeries, offering the chance to build and strengthen surgical skills. Mentorship is provided for doctors who are newer to abdominal surgery and excited to grow.
- A collaborative culture and strong cross-hospital communication ensure doctors always have access to medical support, including during overnight coverage.
