If you enjoy teaching, you can help train and guide our Mentorship Doctors. Or if you are a new veterinarian interested in receiving structured guidance, we can provide that, as well!
Our company is a privately owned ESOP (100% employee owned business!). We practice ‘open book management’ so that all employee owners understand our income, expenses, and the bottom line. Everyone has a voice, as well as the satisfaction and fulfillment that comes from using their unique talents to make a positive difference in the lives of pets, pet parents and their fellow team members.
We are interested in collaborative doctors with a passion for practicing the highest caliber medicine. We value Emotional Intelligence as much as your diagnostic prowess! If you understand the value of client communication and service and agree with our core values of Professionalism, Exceptionalism, Trustworthiness, Compassion, Accountability, Reliability and Engagement – 1st Pet is the place for you!
We offer a very competitive compensation package: ProSal (beginning at 22% and higher % for overnight emergency and specialty doctors); a generous CE allowance; liability, life, health & dental insurance; HSA & FSA; 50% pet care discount; 3-4 weeks paid vacation each year; paid sick leave; paid continuing education time; AZ license and dues; 401K retirement plan; ESOP stock ownership; a competitive profit-sharing/bonus plan -- and ownership in the practice.
