Upstate Veterinary Specialties, PLLC is a growing, privately-owned specialty and emergency practice located in upstate New York. As a privately owned hospital, the practice owners are active clinicians who take a team approach to manage the hospital. They make themselves accessible to the staff and are dedicated to making UVS the ideal veterinary practice for employees.

Our internal urgent care service will provide a fast-track option for outpatients with non-emergent conditions. Some types of cases that the Urgent Care team will evaluate and treat include but are not limited to: coughing or kennel cough, nail issues - broken or bleeding, lacerations, allergic reaction/vaccine reaction, bleeding skin tumors, toxicities, parasites – fleas, tapeworms, ticks, dehydration, decreased appetite and other non-emergent conditions.
Our clinicians are supported by highly educated licensed veterinary technicians, assistants, client relations specialists, and administrative staff.
Our Facility
Our hospital is a custom-built, 40,000-square-foot facility. Our hospital also includes a 1.5T MRI, 64 slice CT scanner with power injector, digital x-ray, underwater treadmill, multi-parameter telemetry, endoscopy suite, multiple surgery suites, full diagnostic laboratory, in-house pharmacy, and everything else you could want to practice high-quality medicine.

The position offers a base salary of $120,000-$150,000 and is eligible for production bonus between 21-23% based on gross revenues. Additionally, UVS offers a competitive benefits package and buy-in opportunity for the individuals that share our practice philosophy and commitment to our mission.
