You will work with an experienced clinic manager and staff who have been doing this for years in a clinic that is 5 years old that is still growing. Want to add a new modality? Surgeon Only: For candidates interested solely in the surgical aspect, the schedule is as follows:
- Start at 7:30 a.m., performing 20-25 surgeries by 2:00 p.m. at the latest.
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, averaging 26-28 hours weekly. Four day work week, we are closed weekends and Wednesdays.
- No medical appointments are required. Salary begins at $75,000 p/year.
- Potential pathway to ownership for interested candidates.
- A DEA license or eligibility to obtain one is mandatory.
Medical Appointments Only:
- We are not a full-service clinic. We do not hospitalize and we do not have x-ray. We have in house blood machines and an outside lab (Antech).
- Appointments begin at 2:30 p.m., booked at 30 minute intervals. The last appointment scheduled at 5:00 p.m.
- Four day work week, we are closed weekends and Wednesdays.
- Walk-ins for vaccinations and heartworm testing are accepted.
- Potential pathway to ownership for interested candidates.
- Average hours 24-26hrs per week. Starting at $60,000 p/yr.
Full-time Surgeon/Medical Doctor:
- This is a full-time position with salary and benefits. Salary starting at $130,000 for a full-time role encompassing surgery and appointments.
- Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with 20-25 surgeries completed by 1:30 p.m at the latest.
- Appointments start at 2:30 p.m., the last appointment is scheduled at 5:00 p.m. Scheduled at 30 minute intervals.
- Potential pathway to ownership for interested candidates.
Benefits for Full-time Doctor:
- Monthly medical insurance reimbursement (HRA), 401(k) with 3% match, and paid professional membership dues.
- Continuing education stipend provided. Supplemental dental, life, and disability insurance options available.
- Eligibility for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program, which may forgive the entire balance of eligible Direct Loans upon meeting all requirements.
- Four-day workweek averaging 40 hours—no weekends, no on-call duties, and no emergencies. Commitment to work-life balance with a 7:30 a.m. start, last appointment at 5:00 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. The clinic is closed on Wednesdays and weekends.
- Six paid holidays, 80 hours of vacation, and 30 hours of paid sick leave.
Opportunities to enhance surgical and medical expertise, with support for adding new service modalities.
Qualifications:
- Proficient surgical skills, capable of completing 20-25 spay/neuter procedures (dogs and cats) within six hours, along with other soft tissue surgeries as needed.
- Ability to advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options, including prescribing medication.
- Provide counseling on end-of-life care for pets.
- Maintain accurate patient medical records.
Leadership qualities and willingness to contribute to the overall health and growth of the program. Interest in community-based medicine serving local rescues and shelter populations. Adherence to veterinary ethics and compliance with relevant statutes, policies, and procedures. DEA license or eligibility to obtain one. Experienced candidates preferred; self-reliant new graduates will also be considered.

Requirements
What we would like you to bring to the team:
Strong surgical skills with the ability to complete 20-25 spay/neuters in six hours. These are a mix of dog/cat. Other soft tissue surgeries and dentals as needed.
Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options. Prescribe medication as needed.
Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
Maintain patients’ medical records.
Desire to be a leader to our team and involved in the overall health and growth of our program.
Interest in grass roots community-based medicine serving local rescues and shelter populations within our program.
Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.
Must have or be eligibile to obtain GA DVM and DEA licensure. We can help navigate that process with you.
Experienced candidates preferred but will definitely consider self-reliant new grads.
