Requirements

DVM/VMD (or equivalent) from an accredited program
California veterinary license (active or in-process for new grads)
Strong clinical reasoning, compassionate client communication, and team-first mindset
Comfort with wellness + urgent care triage (we see a good variety)
Basic proficiency with digital EMR, in-house labs, digital radiography, and anesthesia monitoring

New-Graduate Friendly Allowances
CA license/DEA may be pending at offer; start as “graduate vet” under supervision
Openness to structured mentorship: shadow → co-exam → solo with backup (at your pace)
Desire to build confidence in dentistry, surgery, urgent care, and client education
Comfort receiving feedback and using checklists/medical protocols

Relief / Locum Veterinarians
Active CA license + DEA, professional liability/malpractice coverage
W-9 on file; ability to use our EMR after a short orientation
Reliable availability (set min. shifts/month preferred) and comfort with urgent care pacing
Clear communication on case handoffs and medical record completion same day
