Practice Overview
You would be joining an established, small animal practice near Aubrey, Texas. The existing book of business is approximately $1,000,000, and there is an opportunity to expand this quickly due to rapid area growth. Your support team is local and has been with the clinic for over 5 years on average.
You would be the veterinarian for the practice with a support staff that is “ready to go.”
To support the practice in a fast-growing area, the clinic invests in marketing and advertising spend.

For the right candidate, this position also includes the option to purchase the practice and step into immediate or planned ownership of an established, thriving practice in one of the fastest-growing areas of North Texas. Ownership can be purchased at any time, depending on mutual agreement and funding. Our practice is also willing to hire a vet without ownership, if preferred.

Requirements
Essential Responsibilities
If purchased: the current owner would review all financials and provide all records to the new owner of the practice. The current owner would spend an agreed upon period to ensure the new owner is familiar with the clinic, employees and patients.
If not purchased: the hired veterinarian would work with the team to manage the success of the practice.
Other:
Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries
Operate diagnostic equipment, collect diagnostic samples, and interpret results
Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options
Perform surgery and prescribe medications as needed
Provide counsel around pet end-of-life care
Maintain patients’ medical records
Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics, statutes, policies, and procedures
Requirements/Qualifications
Agree to an NDA if interviewed
Desire to buy (or eventually buy an established vet practice) or run a practice with growth opportunity
DVM degree
Appropriate state licensure
Eligibility to obtain DEA license
Professional and courteous demeanor with staff and clients
