Our beautiful hospital located in Whatcom County, Washington is seeking to add a full-time Associate Veterinarian. We are centrally located in the growing town of Ferndale about 15 minutes north of Bellingham. Whatcom County offers four wonderful seasons with varying recreational capabilities - from beaches to the snowy mountains. All the adventure you could ask for is right in our backyard!

At Whatcom Vet we strive to have an up-to-date, high-quality hospital that offers preventative wellness care, in-house labs, radiology (including dental), ultrasound, therapeutic laser, and electronic medical records. We have an extensive surgery suite designed to accommodate small animals. We have a complete team of support staff to assist our doctors' needs. We provide care to small animals only, with regular scheduled hours and no on-call shifts. At this time, we need someone proficient in surgery who will be ready to hit the ground running!
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) required.
- Compassionate, team-oriented approach.
- Ability to lift 40+ lbs.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the veterinary team while upholding medical standards.
- Develop and implement medical protocols.
- Perform routine and advanced surgeries.
- Interpret lab results to support accurate diagnoses.
- Educate and build strong relationships with clients.
