Pickering Equine, a unique private practice in Chester Springs, Pennsylvania, is seeking an associate veterinarian. Our practice is both ambulatory, as well as rehabilitative.
The ambulatory portion of the business is focused on performance horse medicine. The horses range in job description from show hunters to pleasure horses. The services offered to our customers include: ultrasound, digital radiographs, RLT laser, shockwave, regenerative therapy, pro-stride, pre-purchase examinations, and full lameness evaluations.
The rehabilitation center offers services including the water treadmill, dry treadmill, Relax oscillating plate, and RLT laser. We also have a connected indoor arena so that our patients can start back to work under saddle before they return home. We have customers that ship in for various veterinary services, as well as to utilize the treadmills for conditioning.
Our ideal candidate would have an absolute passion for sport horses. We help our customers to achieve their respective competitive goals. We are happy to entertain candidates with all experience levels. Our goal would be to fine tune our new associate's skills in the diagnosis and evaluation of lameness. These skills include ultrasonography, digital radiology, lameness evaluation, diagnostic blocking, joint injections, and designing rehabilitation plans. The applicant must express compassion, empathy, solid client communication skills, as well as being an independent self-starter. The position will start by working closely with Dr. Batchelor and then expand into a more independent position.
The associate veterinarian would be offered health and dental insurance, AAEP and AVMA dues paid, state license dues paid, as well as paid liability insurance. This position would start as a salary position. We are not currently offering funding for re-location.
Please send resumes to email@example.com. Any questions, please call Dr. Batchelor at (315) 368-8532.
