Established in 2010, the MISSION of the SPCA of East Texas is to improve the lives of animals, alleviate their suffering and elevate their status in society. As the largest non-profit rescue and adoption organization in East Texas, the SPCA of ETX serves Tyler, Smith County and the surrounding East Texas area in the spay/neuter/wellness/rescue/adoption of hundreds of homeless pets each year. Additionally, the SNIPPET Clinic performs surgery for the public 4 days a week, providing much needed affordable spay/neuter/vaccinations and monthly heart worm/flea/tick prevention to a formerly hugely under served part of the community.
The SPCA of ETX currently operates the following programs out of our 3 Tyler locations.
1). Rescue of dogs and cats suffering from animal cruelty and neglectful environments
2). Re-homing & adoption of homeless, surrendered and shelter animals
3). Community Assistance to Citizens in Need
4). Monthly Transport to the foster based rescues in Northeast
5). Weekly Volunteer Program
6). Foster Based Socialization & Rehabilitation
7). SNIPPET Spay/Neuter & Wellness Clinic
