We live and work in a wonderful and beautiful area of coastal North Carolina, with many outdoor activities and adventures and numerous other entertainment venues. We are close to Emerald Isle, Beaufort, Morehead City, Wilmington, Topsail, Surf City, and many other places, offering plenty of opportunity for those who love the beach, hiking, camping, museums, wonderful restaurants and night life, historical places and tours, and many more things.
Employment is tailored to each associate; build your schedule and compensation package to best fit your life. We strive not only to bring the best medicine to our patients, but to create the best atmosphere in which our clients, patients, staff, and doctors can grow and thrive.
We do offer mentorship programs for new grads. Compensation is highly competitive and is completely negotiable, including relocation expenses and a yearly sign-on bonus. We can offer a full range of benefits including (but not limited to) vacation time, maternity leave, health insurance allowances, relocation expenses, license and CE reimbursements, etc. Compensation is typically pro-sal, but we are able to tailor contractual compensation packages that will best suit your needs and requirements as well as giving you the best chance to grow and love your career.

From the establishment of Jacksonville Veterinary Hospital in the 1950's by Dr. Brandt, until the present, there has been a seamless continuation of high standards by which our practices and personal professional lives are conducted. Our philosophy and core values are to provide high quality medical, surgical and dental care to our patients in facilities that are clean, pleasant, and equipped with current medical equipment and technology. Our business and management standards allow us to practice in a profitable environment, which in turn underwrites our desired goals. Communicating with our clients on a personal level has always been one of the "bedrocks" of our practice success. We have the highest standards of our staff, and have always hired intelligent, motivated, kind and empathetic employees. We continually strive to subscribe to the standards put forth by AAHA, the AVMA, and our state examining board. We also have a philosophy of community involvement, public service and we maintain an active positive relationship with our veterinary practices in our community. Our doctors have traditionally been the impetus behind other local veterinary association, and act as ambass...adors to keep our veterinary community united and cooperative. We also groom and maintain a positive relationship with our local human medical community. Our vision is to continue the aforementioned values and philosophies, and instill them into the younger doctors who will one day carry on the work that we so love and enjoy. As the face of veterinary medicine and society change, we too will change, but will not waiver from our self-imposed high standards.
