Carolina Veterinary Specialists (CVS) is eagerly seeking an exceptional Emergency Veterinarian to join our well established & skilled veterinary team in Matthews, North Carolina!
As a group we operate six full-service emergency and specialty referral facilities in the Carolinas, with locations in Huntersville, Charlotte, Matthews, Rock Hill, Greensboro and Winston-Salem. Each location provides multiple referral specialties, as well as 24-hour emergency and critical care. Our specialties include Internal Medicine, Surgery, Neurology, Cardiology, Medical oncology, Radiation oncology, Ophthalmology and Avian/Exotics.
(VECCS). VECCS identifies a Level II center as a 24 hour acute emergency and critical care facility with the medical staff, personnel and training necessary to provide emergent and critical patient care.

Snyder Intensive Care Units (can house 4 patients)
3 Toshiba high-resolution ultrasound machines including ER FAST scan
24-hour care & hospitalization

New 128-slice CT Scanner
2019 Varian Linear Accelerator with SRT and IMRT capabilities
State of the art facilities
Endoscopy, including fiber otic & bronchoscopy
CUBEX Inventory Management System
Matthews is a suburb of South Charlotte, and a wonderful place to live, full of all kinds of activities, and within driving distance of many others. We have a rich cultural scene with theater, opera, symphony, art museums, and concerts. Excellent school systems are present within the suburbs of Charlotte, including both public and private options. We host major league football and basketball teams, as well as minor league hocket and baseball. Charlotte is home to the US National Whitewater Center, and Charlotte Motor Speedway. In two hours, you can be in the mountains to camp, hike, rock climb, or just relax. In 3-4 hours you can be at the beach. We have several lakes located in the Charlotte metro area, with great opportunities to live near the water. Our airport is a major hub, making air travel easy.
Guaranteed minimum base salary of $175,000 for an experienced emergency clinician, in addition to a gracious sign-on bonus. We offer a range of great industry leading benefits, including a generous CE allowance including time off for CE, health insurance (medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA options), 401k with employer contribution, productivity bonuses, reimbursement of membership dues, relocation assistance (if applicable), uniform program, pet care discount, and PTO. Additional PTO can be available for board study, if needed.
