Our practice is built around family life and we are located in a safe and welcoming community. We are located just 20 minutes south of Grand Rapids and only 30 minutes from Lake Michigan or Kalamazoo. We want to add to our growing practice and support a truly special and deserving doctor, and their family, while they practice small animal medicine in our great town! We are privately owned, and a clinic who sees only dogs and cats at this time. We welcome new ideas and additional services if an applicant comes equipped with them.
What You’ll Be Working On
High quality medicine with compassionate communication
Appointments that are a variety wellness and sick
Building and maintaining current and prospective client relationships
Preventative wellness care, diagnostics and treatments with a knowledgeable support staff
Performing soft tissue surgeries weekly and dental procedures (opportunity for mentorship in these)
Open to Part-Time; Full-Time or Relief Work!
Qualifications
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from an accredited program is required
Be licensed or able to be licensed in the state of Michigan
Prior surgical, emergency and/or small animal experience preferred, but not required
Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and continuous learning
Commitment to ethics and integrity
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Location: Our practice is located in Dorr, Michigan, which is just south of Grand Rapids. Our area is rapidly growing, and therefore, so is our team! We reside in two adjoined buildings that equal nearly 6500sqft of patient care space. Our veterinary hospital has 6 exam rooms, a double surgery suite and a dedicated office space just for you. Practice Overview: Dorr Veterinary Clinic is a NON-CORPORATE small animal clinic. We offer a wide variety of veterinary care, full grooming services, boarding and doggy daycare services too. We see all breeds of dogs and cats and offer soft tissue surgical services, orthopedic surgeries and a large menu of diagnostic tests at our clinic. We have leading technology, products and resources for our clients. We pride ourselves on being a family-focused employer, with no on-call hours or Sunday shifts. Our team is passionate, humble and up-tone. We operate with a small-town feel, but a commitment to always be up for what the future of veterinary medicine holds.
