White House Animal Hospital in White House, Tennessee is actively seeking an Associate Veterinarian to add to our 2 DVM team!  We have been proudly providing families and their animal companions from White House, Greenbrier, Millersville, Ridgetop, Cross Plains and beyond with compassionate and high-quality veterinary care since 1984. We are a full service, small animal practice and occasionally have the opportunity to see exotic animals (birds & reptiles) as well as some livestock. We are looking for a fun-loving Veterinarian that would like to feel like part of a team!  Our collaborative attitude would be ideal for training a new graduate!  Schedule for this position Wednesday - Friday & every other Saturday morning. We are fully equipped with digital radiographs, ultrasound, well stocked surgery suite, on-site pharmacy and a Idexx suite of lab equipment (CBC/Chemistries), Snap readers, and Sedivue urinalysis.  Currently have 3 exam rooms with potential to add a fourth!

Qualifications:

• Veterinarian degree (DVM) from an accredited college or university.
• Current State Veterinary License.
• DEA registration must be obtained and maintained.
• Experience overseeing Veterinary Technicians and Assistants as well as other hospital or practice staff.
• Must demonstrate a desire to continue learning in veterinary care and participate in leading staff training.

Position Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

• Excellent Communication Skills and the ability to communicate effectively, efficiently, and in a timely manner with all members of the Medical and Hospital staff.
• Client communication skills, must be able to elicit information, establish rapport, offer explanations with pet owners.
• Display confidence and reassurance when dealing with pets experiencing severe stress, illness, or pain.
• May include some climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Some tasks involve the periodic performance of moderately physically demanding work.
• Position does require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
