VCA Dover Animal Hospital is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join our modern, 4-doctor practice in Dover, Delaware.
This practice is located within 45 minutes of the Delaware/Maryland Beaches which hosts many outdoor recreational opportunities. For those who enjoy the city and all that is has to offer we are within 2 hours of Philadelphia/DC and we are within 10 minutes of the DAFB. Our newly built facility is conveniently located at 201 Towne Centre Drive Suite 100 Dover, DE 19904.
We offer our clients a high standard of care and we believe in educating our clients so they can make the best medical choices for their pets. We have a new state of the art facility with 7 exam rooms (2 cat only exam rooms) and ample equipment to compliment your skills and knowledge so you can practice the high level of medicine to which you are accustomed. We offer a double dental suite and a double surgical suite. We are dedicated to active learning and advanced medical procedures. Our highly skilled support staff play an integral role in supporting our doctors and providing excellent medical care to our patients and a high level of customer service to our clients. Our community based practice provides opportunities to engage with our clients in a variety of settings including service projects, client education seminars, and family friendly festivals.
We are seeking a Delaware licensed veterinarian with the ability to provide quality care in a friendly and supportive environment. Experience is preferred as a veterinarian but we are willing to mentor a new or recent graduate. Our practice is focused primarily on small animals. Proficiency in surgery and dentistry is also beneficial. We handle all types of appointments from wellness to urgent care including patients requiring hospitalization. We routinely use laser therapy, our in house lab, Bovie 1250S-V Electrosurgical Generator, digital x-ray, dental X-ray and digital ultrasound and acupuncture are offered as tools to help our patients.
Our ideal candidate will genuinely enjoy working with animals and their owners and want to be part of a fun, interactive team. Good communication skills and the ability to handle a steady patient load while maintaining a good sense of humor are encouraged.
