- Veterinarian - Columbus / Grove City, OH
Description

Vet-Owned. People-First.
Since opening in May 2026, our Grove City team has quickly seen the need for additional urgent care support across Grove City, southwest Columbus, and the surrounding communities. Pet families are looking for more access to timely, thoughtful care, and local veterinary teams need a trusted partner when schedules are full or cases need attention sooner than a routine appointment allows.
That need is exactly why AcutePet is here. As demand continues to build, we’re adding to our team and looking for additional veterinarians who want to practice high-quality medicine in a model designed for both clinical excellence and personal sustainability.
We deliver emergency-level care in an urgent care setting. That means meaningful cases, strong diagnostics, and real impact — without overnights or the intensity of traditional 24/7 ER schedules.
This role may be a strong fit for:
- Emergency veterinarians seeking a shift from overnight or high-acuity ER
- Experienced general practitioners ready to expand their scope
- Early-career DVMs interested in urgent care with structured mentorship
- Doctors who value autonomy alongside collaborative support
Why Grove City?
Grove City is a growing southwest Columbus community with a strong sense of connection, established neighborhoods, and an increasing need for accessible veterinary care.
The area offers:
- Family-friendly neighborhoods and a welcoming community feel
- Convenient access to Columbus, surrounding suburbs, dining, parks, and entertainment
- A growing population of engaged pet owners
- Proximity to both established communities and continued residential development
- A strong network of local veterinary professionals and referral relationships
- Since opening our doors, the need for urgent care support in this region has been clear. Grove City pet families need timely care options, and primary care veterinary teams need a reliable partner when pets require same-day attention.
This hospital is positioned to be an important resource for both — helping pets get care when they need it, while giving veterinarians a sustainable way to practice meaningful, high-quality medicine.
Our Leadership & Culture
AcutePet is a veterinarian-owned organization built by professionals who understand the realities of modern veterinary medicine.
Our leadership includes experienced DVMs, Managing Veterinarians, and a board-certified criticalist serving as Chief Medical Officer. Operational leaders bring direct veterinary hospital experience to ensure teams are supported, not strained.
We prioritize:
- Clinical standards without corporate rigidity
- Mentorship without micromanagement
- Sustainable scheduling
- A collaborative, inclusive environment
What It’s Like to Work Here
We're a team of kind, capable people who show up for each other, our clients, and the pets who need us. That means collaboration over hierarchy, mentorship without micromanagement, and a culture where every team member matters.
In Grove City, you’ll be part of a hospital that’s still growing its rhythm, building relationships, and becoming an important resource for the community. You’ll have the opportunity to make an impact not just on patients and clients, but on the way this hospital continues to develop.
