VCA Old Marple Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our well-established, multi-doctor, 24-hour emergency/general practice in Springfield, Pennsylvania as an Exam Room Tech.

About the Role

As Veterinary Technician or Assistant, you will help create and maintain a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our patients and clients. Some of the duties you will be responsible for include:

• Obtain a history on a sick/well patient
  
• Restrain a cat/dog
  
• Feel comfortable talking to clients/making phone calls
  
• Toe nail trims (can train)
  
• Ear cleanings (can train)
  
• Draw up injections and be able to administer them (can train)
  
• Blood draws (can train)
  
• Client education and care
  
• Lab sample collection and processing
  
• Medication preparation and administration
  
• Safe and effective patient handling and restraint
  
• Medical recordkeeping
  
• have some veterinary medical knowledge/background

The pay range for this position is $15.23-$23.14
